The Snuggie is America’s latest direct response TV phenomenon. It’s a cheap blanket with SLEEVES. That’s it basically. And yet, they can spin that into a two minute ad that makes you want to kill puppies. Impressive. Only 4 million sold so far. Not jealous; perfectly calm.

You think a few people might rock up to see Ben Cousins play for Richmond against Fremantle?

NAB Cup starts February 7 in Perth at Subiaco Oval. Two matches are expected to pull very large crowds – big screen advertising slots can be bought through Media Tonic. The West Coast play Collingwood; Richmond play Fremantle. A third match is also possible, depending on results. These matches typically produce very economic buys particularly well suited to retail and events advertising. Trust me; I’m a sales person. If you don’t believe me, here’s a printed document.

ATN extends its reach in Perth

Monday, January 12th, 2009

From March 2, 2009, the Australian Traffic Network (ATN) reports will air on ALL SIX of Perth’s commercial radio stations including NOVA, giving a 100% Commercial Radio buy. This complements the relationship ATN has with Nova in the Eastern States.

ATN is one of the easier media buys: one contact, one rate, one invoice. It’s a blend of live and recorded reads surrounded by time and situation-sensitive info that produces unusually close listening. Agencies wanting a briefing on the economics of this can call Dave or Mark on 9388 7844.
