The Real Man’s Big Screen

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Hey LOOK! It’s Barry Manilow performing on a stage that fell off the back of a TRUCK!

Racing & Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) has the biggest, scariest, most transportable big-screen experience since the bears were bad. Come along to Media Tonic’s demonstration of it. We’re doing tea and scones.

The Real Man’s Big Screen is 46m2 of mobile LED on a 23 tonne semi trailer. The screen hydraulically lifts to reveal a full performance stage. New to Perth, this thing is going to crash through:

• Experiential & Promotional Activities
• Major Sporting Events
• Concerts & Festivals
• Functions & Exhibitions
• Outdoor Advertising

Got a client in that space? Let’s throw some ideas around.

Date: Thursday 3rd September, 2009
Time: 10.30 am – 12 noon
Venue: Belmont Racecourse
Victoria Park Drive, Burswood, WA
(Off Graham Farmer Freeway)

RSVP: Monday 31st August, 2009 (yes, this Monday) to Heather at Media Tonic: 9388 7844 or email heather[at]mediatonic{dot}com(dot)au.

Here she is. Isn’t she beautiful?

Art & Copy

95% of the way through shooting our exposé of the advertising industry only to discover that someone has beaten us to the punch. And now there’s no punch left; just soggy pieces of citrus.

Currently doing limited screenings in the U.S. Source.

30 Seconds

Monday, August 24th, 2009

“Seriously though: advertising. I’ve met so many great people”.

Go Barbara. Foxtel’s new comedy show on the Australian ad industry is called 30 Seconds. Did somebody say Subscription TV and Advertising? In that case, note that FOXTEL subs are up 8% in 2009; revenue is up 11%; churn is down and there are 25 more channels launching this year. 1.63 million households Australia wide and 43% of them now have an IQ Box.

Yes, there is a character in 30 Seconds modeled on Media Tonic’s David Fare, who can be contacted on 9388 7844.
