Below is the schmaltzy Coke Snow Globe ad, featuring the Coke Xmas Anthem. Not to be out-done, the Re Store in Northbridge used a giant inflatable snow globe to draw foot traffic from as far away as Lake Street. Source.

Advertising: the long ball of string

You can get away with most things in advertising these days. Here’s a stunt where 100 cats were released into an IKEA store just to see what happened. Nothing much. But the end result is a kind of feel-good, long-format ad for the brand. Quite whimsical. Warm fuzzies. Source.
