Vivid Wireless Sponsorship

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

You probably saw the write up in Campaign Brief, but the Vivid Wireless sponsorship we brokered for the Red Bull Air Race went very well indeed, with the client saying lovely things about Media Tonic. Vivid’s Matt Hall flew into second place and over 200,000 spectators attended. Some terrific exposure that should sell a sizeable amount of wireless broadband. Let us know if you want something special in the way of sponsorship; we’re the only media representation company in town who know how to sabotage a Brazilian aeroplane.

The curly tentacles of Media Tonic

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Some time ago Media Tonic provided vividwireless with six sponsorship and outdoor concepts (working through agency channels) and one of these was picked up by the client. The Red Bull Air Race is a good fit for vividwireless whose story is seriously fast broadband. A National Team Sponsorship involves 260,000 West Australians, has good launch proximity and of course, there is the speed thing.

Some of the promotional concepts presented were for existing products; some for quite new products. Clients looking for refreshing concepts in sponsorship, Out of Home, experiential and ambient may wish to use the curly tentacles of Media Tonic. We’re generally good for a coffee and a Red Bull.

BAM BAM

Also known as David Pocock.

Now signed with IMG and available for endorsement work through Media Tonic. The Wallabies and Western Force’s Openside Flanker is 20 years old. He’s a big talent, he’s personable, an adventurer and a charity worker. Great opportunity for a West Australian business to align themselves with an emerging legend. IMG has also picked up four other big WA talents; Richard Brown, Dane Haylett-Petty, Luke Holmes and Haig Sare, so a very strong “team” marketing message could be conveyed. Call Mark “Pebbles” Treasure or Dave “Wilma” Fare on 9388 7844.

I wear your shirt

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

See, here’s how it works. Jason agrees to wear your company’s shirt one day next year and take a photo of himself wearing YOUR shirt. Then he posts it on his blog. You pay HIM for that in addition to sending him the SHIRT. The price increments a dollar every day of the year, so Jan 1 costs $1 and Dec 31 costs $365. And then he donates all the money to charity. No, I made up that last sentence.

He’s already sold out to the end of March. Here, I’ve saved you the trouble: the full year’s fashion photography totals $66,795.

Media Tonic are pleased to announce the imminent launch of their I Wear Your Designer Label and I Eat Your Expensive Restaurant Meal websites. And a reminder that if you own a media property you’d like to monetise or you have a client looking for an innovative sponsorship property, we do that stuff.

Perth Cup, Railway Stakes, YOUR LOGO HERE

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Sponsorship packages for the Perth Cup and/or the Railway Stakes are a chance to reach large numbers of people in a high-impact setting. They’re sporting events but they’re also social events; a cost-effective way to impress key clients and build relationships.

Packages for the Perth Cup and Railway Stakes include advertising on the big screens and monitors throughout Ascot Racecourse, race naming rights and opportunities for mass sampling, as well as premium corporate hospitality.

Advertisers with a youth demographic would want to use the Perth Cup; Railway Stakes is more mainstream.

Interested? You’ll need to read the form guide.

Boots for breast cancer

Friday, October 24th, 2008

WA safety boots company Steel Blue WA took out an AMI Award (Australian Marketing Institute; apparently it’s a thing) for their sponsorship of the Breast Cancer Foundation. Raised over $240K by kicking in $30 every time someone bought a pair of purple safety boots. Congrats to Ros Worthington Ness Bradshaw and Ross Fitzgerald.

World Record Swim: Naming Rights

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

November 29, 2008. Thousands of West Australians will slap on the suncream and the budgie smugglers in an attempt on the world record for an open water race. It’s a record currently held by the Victorians: BOOOOO! All swimmers will therefore have the chance to become world record holders, with certificates to prove it. Sounds like a great feel-good community event. Surf Lifesaving WA will be one of the beneficiaries.

The promotional program incorporates extensive media coverage from media partners; The Sunday Times, Network Ten and 96fm who will broadcast the event live.

A tiered sponsorship package is available but at this stage naming rights are up for grabs. Contact Mark or Dave for more info: 9388 7844.

WAFL crowds up (again)

WAFL Grand Final 2007
WAFL Grand Final 2007

Last year’s wooden spooners the Phoenix Demons are third on the ladder and Subiaco have a percentage of 196%. Half a million punters in WA are well across this.

Following consistent gains in attendance in recent years, crowds so far this season are 6% higher again. Local businesses might be interested to know that after only ten rounds over half a million West Australians have attended or watched WAFL on TV.

It’s a missed opportunity that there is still a WAFL sponsorship up for grabs. Value for money. Got a client looking for profile and community involvement? You can contact Mark or David at Media Tonic to discuss. 9388 7844.

Glass & Orbit

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Orbit Health and Fitness Solutions have come to the sponsorship party and engaged Eagles captain Darren Glass as a brand ambassador. It’s a two year deal. Coincidentally, Darren had been into Orbit a couple of weeks before the sponsorship was proposed and spent some of the heard-earned.

Darren is managed by our partners at IMG and Media Tonic brokered the deal with Peter Hodgson, Orbit’s Managing Director. The company are the leading supplier of fitness equipment in the WA market, with eight showrooms, a wholesale division and an in-house service division with very impressive physiques.
